SHOOTING STAR LODGE

The Shooting Star Lodge is a small, family-run hotel overlooking the beautiful, tropical East Coast beach of Kiwengwa. The view from this intimate and tranquil development is spectacular, with the white, palm-fringed beach out across the reef to the azure Indian Ocean beyond. It offers a unique retreat 40 km from Stone Town. Facilities include a variety of accommodation, an open-air bar, and restaurant serving high-quality local and international cuisine. It has immediate access to the beach, where we arrange evening barbecues, especially during the full moon, to make the most of this magical sight. The brand new swimming-pool is perched on a hill with dramatic views over the ocean.

Residents are accommodated on Full, Half-Board or B&B.

We encourage our guests to explore and enjoy the local environment, which includes Kiwengwa Village, a limestone cave, the dramatic reef and a seaweed farm. Bicycles can be hired to explore the local area. We are also able to arrange recreational scuba diving, PADI courses, snorkelling, fishing, boat trips and wind-surfing.
